“Clouds and Dirt” is an artwork created for Gary Vaynerchuck, inspired by an old childhood photo of him and his mom. I used acrylic paint with a monochrome colour scheme for the portrait and for the background I used a variety of different materials to represent his life.
The cork background is made from old corks that are hand cut in little triangles, represent his time working at his family liquor store, Wine Library.
The 5 is his favourite number made from old baseball card wrapping, represents him as a child selling baseball cards.
The clouds and dirt stripes. The dirt made from cork & paint and the blue from water bottle caps to represents his clouds and dirt sneakers and the short film that drock created.
The green plane made from woven green single-use plastic straws represents one of his big loves, the New York Jets.
There are two flags painted on Gary’s tie to represent that of Belarus, where he was born as well as the USA where he grew up and call home.

“Emaar” was inspired by the founder and Chairman of Emaar Properties, H.E Mohamed Ali Alabbar, his vision for the future and what he has accomplished including developing the tallest tower and largest shopping centre in the world.

“52” was inspired by Lonely Whale and their wonderful campaign, #Stopsucking. That has already saved so many straws from being used and ending up in the oceans. The Lonely Whale team are constantly working to ensure more people are aware of the effects of single-use plastic straws.
I wanted to create an art piece with their logo and use single-use plastic straws to create the entire piece. Some of the straws were collected during beach cleanups in Thailand and Dubai and others were collected from restaurants that wanted to stop the use of single-use plastic straws and no longer required them.
I used acrylic paint to paint the straws design of the border of the logo as well as the 52 and whale tail.
Dimensions: 800mm x 800mm
Medium: Mixed Medium (Acrylic Paint, Single-Use Plastic Straws)
Water is such a valuable resource that too many people take for granted every day. For a lot of us getting access to water is as easy opening one of the many faucets in our home. However, for around 600 million people it is not that easy and they have to travel long distances to get access to water and for all of these people “Every Drop Counts”.
I wanted people to experience the journey of water through my lamp. As you turn the valve, the lamp will lit up through the water drop lampshade, and the lighting and shadows will be cast reaching the ripple effect base. The ripple effect base is inspired by the ripple in Surge’s logo and the emphasis on the importance of every water drop has a direct connection with Surge and their wonderful water project they do around the world.
The majority of the materials that we use in the design was recycled elements. It is through these items that I want to make people aware of their waste and to realise how many things they throw away every day and to take a moment and see how you can reuse some of your waste as not all waste should be wasted.
“Be A Maverick” was inspired by Logan Paul, his family and his beautiful sun conure, Maverick. I felt that he is doing such a fantastic job with his career and with his busy schedule always find time for the important people in his life and I wanted to capture that in my art.
I used acrylic paint with a monochrome colour scheme for the portrait and for contrast in the background I used recycled Nespresso capsules in the shape and colour of Maverick’s wings.

GCC Comes Into Being was inspired by the May 26th, 1981 cover page of the Khaleej Times. In this painting, I portray Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan where he opens the summit meeting in Abu Dhabi.
In the background, I used recycled newspapers, and I depict a map of the GCC countries. The blue colour that I have used in the background is to symbolize the trust, loyalty and the wisdom and I wanted to emphasize the inherent cultural unity of the Gulf Arab States.

”Mother and Son” was a private commission inspired by a photograph of a mother and her son, when he was just a baby. The piece was commissioned as a gift for the mother from her son to capture the moment of a ”Mother and Son”. The son was born in Thailand where his family stayed for a few years. The son wanted a painting that captures the essence of Thailand as well as some of his mother favourite items, Marie biscuits.
I used acrylic paint with a monochrome colour scheme for the portrait and for contrast in the background I used Marie biscuit wrappers and recycled Nespresso capsules. The golden colour capsules represent a pattern that can be found on many traditional Thai drawings and sculptures to add their memories of Thailand and enjoying their Marie biscuits.

“Family Time” was inspired by a family photo of H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and ruler of the Emirate of Dubai and three of his children. The painting was created as a way to thanks his highness for all the wonderful work he is doing to make Dubai a place that I am so proud to call home. “Coffee Addiction Lamp Blue and Gold” was inspired by Nespresso and the beautiful colours of their capsules. This piece is always a conversation starter as the colours attract you to the lamp but it is only when you get close that you realise it is made from Nespresso’s coffee capsules. Once the lamp is switched on you would be able to see all the beautiful shadows that creates another form of shadow art on the wall. My message through this lamp was to create beauty out of waste and for people to appreciate it and to think how they can recycle, reuse and even reduce.
